Join us in holding the electronics companies accountable for their e-waste.

Part of the problem.
The U.S. generated approximately 2.05 million tons of electronic waste in 2005, but only 17-18 percent of that was collected for recycling. E-waste that isn't responsibly recycled finds its way into landfills, is exported or is dismantled by prison labor.

We want you to get involved!
Electronics manufacturers need to hear from you! They need to hear that it is important for them to work towards eliminating hazardous chemicals from their products, to takeback their used products and to responsibly recycle them without exporting to countries that lack the resources to handle e-waste or using prison labor.

Here is how you can help!
Please call or email the manufacturer of your computer, television, etc. and ask if they have a program to takeback broken or old products and if they recycle responsibly.

Here's an idea of what they need to hear.
"Hi. I have a ___________, and I was wondering if you have a takeback and recycling program for old _________?" "I would like to encourage ____________ to takeback its used products and recycle them without exporting or using prison labor and to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the new TVs you are making."
